About

I'm Brian Carpio. I've spent 20 years building infrastructure patterns that become industry standard — usually 3-5 years before the industry catches up. Platform engineering before it was called that. DevOps before the conferences. Golden pipelines before Spotify wrote about them.

The Short Version

I've led cloud and DevOps transformations for Fortune 500 companies across healthcare, insurance, telecommunications, and pharma. Built self-service platforms at Pearson, Aetna, and Comcast. Led an $18M cloud transformation at an $80B biopharma company through a major cloud provider's professional services org — 55 engineers, 5 scrum teams, account vending from 30+ days to 45 minutes. That engagement became the reference architecture for the entire healthcare and life sciences vertical.

Now I'm building OutcomeOps.AI — an AI-assisted development platform powered by Context Engineering. ADRs as AI knowledge bases, self-correcting code generation, and an operating model that turns 16-hour tasks into 20-minute outcomes. I shipped 90+ production Lambdas in 120 days as a solo developer using this approach.

What I Write About

  • Cloud Architecture: AWS, serverless, infrastructure patterns
  • DevOps & Platform Engineering: CI/CD, observability, self-service platforms
  • Engineering Leadership: Outcome-focused delivery, team dynamics, the politics of transformation
  • AI-Assisted Development: Context Engineering, ADR-driven development, practical AI at enterprise scale
